Here is a sample of Day 2 on this 5 day bike trail tour. "Today you will cycle along the very scenic millennium trail from Clyde to Alexandra (13km).This trail takes you along the banks of the Clutha Mata-au River passing the Earnscleugh tailings historic reserve en route to the Alexandra Bridge.You will then cycle through Alexandra and re-join the Rail Trail. From Alexandra you cycle through irrigated farmlands and the typical schist rock and thyme landscape of Central Otago. At Omakau you leave the trail for a road cycle to historic Ophir were Pitches Store awaits, when you complete the 5km loop you will see New Zealand Oldest operating Post Office and cross the stunning Daniel O’Donnell suspension bridge.

You will cover 664km over four days visiting attractions, tastings along the food trail and a small amount of hiking. We'll take a peak at these shananigans plus travel some of the more beautiful scenic parts of this famous 4wd adventure.

We also visit Weipa - a fishing and mining mecca with sunsets over the western ocean.

There are beautiful swimming waterfalls to swim at - crystal clear waters.

We'll cross the Jardine River on the ferry, visit Bamaga, Punsand Bay, The Croc Tent and Loyalty beach plus more during this mecca Australian adventure.

On our return trip to Cairns we visit the world famous Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation and Cooktown. Crusie the Daintree River.

Lets kick this road trip off with a coffee or specialty tea by visiting Kuranda, known as the village in the rainforest, where you can explore handcrafted goods, Aboriginal arts and crafts, galleries, and indulge in local delicacies like honey, coffee, and tropical fruit ice cream. Travel the Kuranda Scenic Railway to Kuranda, then we'll hit the roads in the 4wd's.

Undara Lava Tubes and Cobbold Gorge are tremendous attractions where we will stay overnight and explore each attraction. We then make our way to Karumba, a coastal town renowned for its stunning sunsets over the Gulf of Carpentaria.

Burketown is an outback town that offers a glimpse into Australia’s pioneering history and is known for its rich cultural heritage. We then visit Lawn Hill Gorge at Boodjamulla National Park a wonderland oasis 300km north of Mt Isa.

The final leg of your road trip takes you to Arnhem Land, a vast wilderness rich in ancient and modern day Indigenous culture and natural beauty. Explore sacred Indigenous homelands, witness breathtaking sunsets over the ocean, and walk along pristine beaches. The trip ends in Darwin
